About Wunder K9

Hi, I’m Tolgay.
For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my work to helping reactive, aggressive, and anxious dogs, especially those who are often misunderstood or considered too difficult to train.
But my journey didn’t begin with a career plan. It began with my own dog, Zoe.
Zoe struggled with severe anxiety. I searched for someone who could help her, but no trainer was willing to take her on. So I decided to learn how to help her myself.
I enrolled in a dog training course and became a certified professional dog trainer. But the more I learned, the more questions I had. I wanted to understand not just what dogs do, but why they do it. That curiosity led me to explore canine psychology, hormones, neuroscience, and how principles from cognitive behavioral therapy might help us better understand behavior.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of dogs, and one thing has become increasingly clear to me: a reactive dog isn’t being “bad.” It’s often struggling with emotions it doesn’t know how to manage. Barking, lunging, and aggression are what we see on the surface. Understanding what’s happening underneath is where meaningful change begins.
That’s the foundation of my approach, Emotion and Relationship Based Dog Training. I believe that building trust, creating positive experiences, and helping dogs develop healthier emotional responses are just as important as teaching obedience. With patience, consistency, and the right guidance, dogs can become more confident, relaxed, and comfortable in the world around them.
My goal isn’t simply to teach a dog to follow commands. It’s to help that dog feel secure, learn to settle, and develop a relationship with its owner built on understanding and trust.
Because to me, successful dog training isn’t just about having a dog that listens. It’s about having a dog that trusts you.
Zoe was the dog no one would help. Today, I make sure every dog like her has someone who will.

TG is a wonderful trainer. We felt comfortable leaving our reactive dog with him knowing that he would be safe and well cared for. We've only had our pup home for a week, but with TG's continued support we feel confident that as long as we follow the program our dog will be a more relaxed and well adjusted pup. We look forward to many happy years with our well trained dog. Thank you TG for all your help and support.
